So I signed up to this challenge on 2 January with the intention of reading a minimum of four, maybe six books, and yay for me, I actually managed to finish seven.
These were:
- The Wide Carnivorous Sky by John Langan (6 January)
- The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell (10 January)
- North American Lake Monsters by Nathan Balingrud (11 January)
- Naming the Bones by Louise Welsh (14 January)
- The Fuller Memorandum by Charles Stross (17 January)
- All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka (19 January)
- The Apocalypse Codex by Charles Stross (30 January)
So I’m very pleased with that indeed, though hankering slightly after a physical book for a change. I will also try to remember throughout the year that I have an e-book TBR “pile” too 😀

oh well done. I hope to do something similar as a by product of #tbr20 where you dont buy a book until you’ve read 20 books already on your shelf. Doesnt help that the new Neil Gaiman came out today, and I picked up an Amanda Palmer at the same time. Hmmmmm

I’m doing the Double Dog TBR dare and am only reading books I owned at midnight on 31 December. I have a self-imposed book buying embargo so only gifts and pre-orders are coming into the house and being careful stored until April. Including the new Neil Gaiman 🙂 Only the opportunity to be really smug us keeping me going!

SEVEN! Ya’ll are putting me to shame on this one. And Bone Clocks isn’t exactly light reading, from what I’ve heard (though I’ve never actually read anything by Mitchell, so I wouldn’t know myself). Thanks for participating, and so glad I found your blog in the process!

Thank you! Bone Clocks was right up my street and I found it an easy read but understand not everyone gets Mitchell 🙂 Glad we found each other’s blogs!
